During the last 24 hours, in many places in Northeast India, Rajasthan, West Coast, Puducherry and Karaikal, East Uttarakhand, Saurashtra and Kutch, North-West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and parts of coastal Karnataka have dropped by 1-3 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures. Temperatures have increased by 1-2 degrees Celsius at many places in the remaining parts of Central India, Eastern India, North-West India, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, North Gujarat state.

Kurnool recorded the highest temperature

According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature at several places in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Telangana, Southern Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Kerala was between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius. The temperature at many places in Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Eastern Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Delhi, Southern Uttar Pradesh and southern Bihar has been between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. At the same time, on Sunday, 25 to 30 degrees Celsius temperatures are expected at many places in Punjab, Haryana, North Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar, rest of West Bengal and Northeast India. In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 39.4 degrees Celsius in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.

Rain on Holi in Delhi

There is a possibility of heavy rains and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 9 to 14 March. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rainfall in Punjab from 12 to 14 March. Apart from this, rain is expected on 13 and 14 March in Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. On March 10, there is a possibility of thunder and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Winds will run on 11 and 12 March

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may receive heavy rains on 10 and 11 March. On March 11 and 12, there is a possibility of faster surface winds (20-30 km per hour) in the plains of Ganga of India including Delhi.
