The central government will introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Opposition and Muslim organizations are opposing this bill. The Shiromani Akali Dal is also included in this camp. The party says that Harsimrat Kaur Badal will clear the stand in Parliament on the issue of voting. The Shiromani Akali Dal says that the way the Waqf bill is being introduced in Parliament without discussing with the Muslim community, it is surprising.
In this bill, the Shiromani Akali Dal proposes to appoint non -Muslims as members in addition to increasing the number of members of the Waqf Board by increasing them under government control. Earlier, the Akali Dal had opposed the inclusion of government representatives in Takht Shri Hazur Sahib and Shri Patna Sahib committees. The party says that even if the Waqf Bill is being brought, then before this, the representatives of the Muslim society should have made a general opinion.
Government is trying to control Waqf Board
So that the message does not go that the central government is trying to control government control over the Waqf Board. The Muslim community has the right to give its opinion on issues related to their religious places. The Shiromani Akali Dal connected the Waqf Bill to the controversy over the inclusion of the representatives of the state governments in the management of Sikh Takht Shri Patna Sahib and Shri Nanded Sahib.
