The Traitors Season 2 has found itself at the centre of an unexpected controversy after allegations of cheating and information leaks surfaced online. Contestants Shahneel Gill and Krystle Dsouza have accused an unnamed participant of allegedly accessing information about the Traitors through a source connected to the show. While neither initially named the contestant, details shared in their videos appeared to point towards actor-entrepreneur Parul Gulati. Parul has now reacted to the allegations, maintaining that she is innocent.

Parul Gulati has responded after allegations surrounding her gameplay on The Traitors 2 gained momentum on social media. The actor-entrepreneur has denied any wrongdoing and described the accusations against her as a ‘digital witch-hunt.’ She said via her Instagram, “This is a circle of shaq all over and guess what, I am INNOCENT, AGAIN!”
The controversy began after Shahneel Gill, sister of cricketer Shubman Gill, shared a video discussing what she claimed was unfair gameplay by one of the contestants. Although Shahneel did not initially identify the participant, her comments were followed by similar allegations from Krystle Dsouza, Rida Tharana and influencer Prish.

Shahneel Gill Alleges Information Was Leaked
In her video, alleged that a contestant had access to information about the identity of the Traitors through their Shadow, the person assigned to each participant to assist them during the game. Shahneel talked about ‘match-fixing’ and questioned how a contestant could repeatedly identify Traitors while describing their reasoning as simply a ‘gut feeling.’ She sarcastically suggested that she too wished she had access to such an instinct, before alleging that there was a source who could reveal crucial information about the game.
She argued that such an advantage would be unfair to the Innocents who were participating without access to confidential information. Shahneel expressed disappointment over what she believed was foul play and said it undermined the efforts of contestants who were genuinely trying to solve the mystery through strategy and deduction.
Krystle Dsouza separately spoke about the controversy and said she was angry after learning that one participant allegedly had access to information that other Innocents did not possess. The actress recalled situations in which she was identified as a Traitor before certain discussions with other contestants had even taken place. According to Krystle, the explanation offered by the participant did not make logical sense to her.
Several clues mentioned by the contestants have fuelled speculation about Parul. Krystle referred to the person she was discussing as someone who owns a brand. Parul is the founder of Nish Hair, a hair extensions brand.
Parul was also known during the show for frequently referring to her instincts while identifying contestants she believed were Traitors. Another detail mentioned by Krystle was that the participant had once spoken about being a television actress who could cry without glycerin. Following Parul’s response to the controversy, it is clear that she was the contestants others were hinting at.
