KK Pathak, Additional Secretary of Education Department in Bihar, remains in new headlines every day. Sometimes for giving new orders to teachers and sometimes for alleged dispute with the Education Minister. Recently, the uproar over the calendar issued by the Education Department regarding holidays in 2024 has not stopped yet, now KK Pathak has issued a new order. KK Pathak has put a stop to the pension of an MLC of the ruling party through one of his orders. Pathak has put a stop to the pension of MLC Sanjay Singh. Along with this, the pension and salary of Bahadur Sinha, the executive president of University Teachers Association Futab, has also been banned. On the instructions of KK Pathak, the Education Department has stopped the salary and pension of two officials of teachers union Futab, Professor Bahadur Sinha, and the pension of MLC and Professor Sanjay Singh.
After the ban on pension, MLC Sanjay Singh has termed the order of the Education Department as a decree and has announced to stage a protest outside the residence of CM Nitish Kumar. Sanjay Singh is the general secretary of teachers union Futab and is associated with the left party CPI. After this action of Pathak against Left MLC Sanjay Singh, political uproar may arise in Bihar.
Political uproar is sure to happen
Left MLC Sanjay Singh has become MLC from Tirhut teachers constituency. Along with this, he is also a professor in the university. In Bihar, CPI is supporting Nitish government from outside. CPI has two MLAs in the assembly. CPI is also a part of the INDIA alliance formed against NDA on the initiative of Nitish Kumar. After this action of KK Pathak, there may be a dispute between JDU and CPI.
Punishment for violating guidelines
Actually, the Education Department has recently issued a guideline regarding the presence of students and teachers in the university. The University Teachers Association has opposed this guideline. After which the department has taken action against the officials of the union and stopped the salary and pension of Futab’s Executive President Bahadur and General Secretary.
