A surprising incident has come to light in Arrah district of Bihar. Here on Wednesday morning, 6 miscreants came to the Axis Bank branch in Nawada police station area, took all the bank employees hostage and looted Rs 16 lakh. During the incident, after hearing the emergency alarm, more than 150 policemen surrounded the bank. The police also asked the miscreants to surrender through the PA system, but the miscreants went in front of the police, sat on a bike and fled from the spot.

The matter pertains to the Axis Bank branch near Pakri Bajaj showroom in Arrah city. After the incident, the police is now busy identifying the miscreants. In this regard, apart from robbery, the police have registered a case under the sections of bank robbery, hostage taking and assault. According to the information, like every day, at 10 am, the bank staff opened the lock of the bank and all the employees and officers sat on their respective seats.

Work had not even started in the bank when five people entered inside posing as customers. In no time, these people took all the bank employees including the bank manager hostage at gunpoint and within just 15 minutes collected all the cash present in the bank and went out. Meanwhile a bank employee raised the emergency alarm. Due to this, about 150 policemen including SP, ASP, Nawada Police Station Inspector, Town Police Station Inspector reached the spot and surrounded the bank.

As soon as the miscreants came out of the bank, the police asked them to surrender. Despite this, there was no fear of the police among the miscreants and all the miscreants went past the police, boarded the bike and ran away. Bank officials said that there were a total of 12 employees inside the bank at the time of the incident. The miscreants had taken all of them hostage and locked them in the pantry. They ran away with the cash of about Rs 16 lakh present in the bank. According to the police, this incident has been captured in CCTV. Efforts are being made to identify the miscreants by capturing the footage.
