A man suffered a heart attack in his car during a traffic jam in Ernakulam. After getting off the bus, two nurses immediately gave him CPR. Due to his wisdom, the man’s life was saved by the time he reached the hospital.
Ernakulam: The wisdom of two nurses saved the life of a person in Ernakulam district of Kerala. A person had a heart attack in a car stuck in a traffic jam. One of these nurses who saved lives is Ardra Raj, a nursing student from Bengaluru and the other is Anjali Baiju, staff nurse of LF Hospital, Angamaly.
The matter is of Wednesday morning. A man named Sinoj was going to the hospital in his car. When he reached near Kalady Bridge, he felt severe chest pain. Due to heavy traffic jam, his car got stuck there and he fell unconscious inside the car.
A KSRTC bus was passing on the same route in which these two nurses were travelling. Seeing the crowd on the roadside, she immediately got down from the bus and reached near the car. They immediately started cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Sinoj. She continued giving CPR till he was taken to the hospital, which saved Sinoj’s life. This effort of both is being appreciated a lot.
Describing this incident, Anjali said, “I immediately got down from the bus. Another nursing student also came with me. We checked the person’s breathing and pulse, but both were not moving.” According to the report, Sinoj had earlier undergone angioplasty and he was going to LF Hospital for check-up.

While the people present at the spot were calling the ambulance, Anjali Baiju and nursing student Ardra Raj started giving CPR to the person. Ardra Raj is a student of Mar Baselious College of Nursing, Bengaluru. She told that she was going by college bus to attend her graduation ceremony, when she saw some people taking an unconscious man out of the car.
Ardra said, “I was in my college bus for a program. Today was our graduation ceremony. We saw people pulling a man out of the car, then our bus also stopped. I immediately got down to help.”
Both nurses kept giving CPR to Sinoj until the ambulance arrived. He was immediately taken to LF Hospital, where he regained consciousness. “He had regained consciousness by the time we reached the hospital. I even talked to him for a while before returning home,” Anjali said happily.
