On Wednesday, a 27-year-old boy allegedly murdered his girlfriend and her mother in Virar, adjacent to Mumbai. After this he also tried to commit suicide. According to the police, this horrifying incident happened just a day after the boy rejected his marriage proposal. Boling Police said that the name of the accused is Shivam Upadhyay. He lived in Nalasopara and worked at his brother’s grocery shop. On Tuesday, he had gone to his 24-year-old girlfriend Nancy Mishra’s house to talk about marriage. Nancy’s 48 year old mother Sarita Mishra was also at home. At that time Nancy’s father had gone to work. According to reports, Sarita opposed this marriage, after which both of them got into an argument. Sources also revealed that Nancy herself was not very keen on marrying Shivam.
Deadly attack by entering the house
On Wednesday, Shivam Upadhyay again reached the house of Mishra family. Police say he allegedly locked the flat from inside and attacked Nancy and Sarita with a kitchen knife. Both of them had several deep knife wounds on their neck, stomach and back, due to which they died on the spot. Shivam Upadhyay then allegedly cut his throat with a blade and fell unconscious. Hearing the sounds of screaming and struggle, the neighbors immediately called the police. When the police team reached the spot, both the women were lying dead. Shivam Upadhyay was taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
