The chaps at Liberty Walk are at it again and this time it is not a supercar getting the widebody treatment but the manic little Abarth 595. The tiny Italian hot hatchback has been given the full Liberty Walk treatment ahead of its debut at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024.
The Tokyo Auto Salon is the annual auto show that takes place every January in Chiba City around 40km east of Tokyo. The Tokyo Auto Salon sees the best of the Japanese aftermarket scene show off their latest creations.
And for this year’s edition of the show, which will take place from the 12th to 14th of January, Liberty Walk decided to ditch the supercars for a tiny hot hatch that comes from Fiat’s in-house mentalists – Abarth.
The Abarth 595 is one of the more unhinged versions of the previous generation Fiat 500 supermini (the current one has gone electric) and while it does look good ‘stock’, we do believe that this Liberty Walk version is even better.
The Japanese tuning house offers two versions of the full body kit – one in fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). While the FRP version is priced at $15,070, the CFRP body kit comes in at $17,050.
Both versions sport a new front bumper with canards that blends into the flared front fenders. Also seen at the front of the Liberty Walk 595 is a new bonnet that blends in well with the puffed-up look of the modified supermini.
A new side skirt connects the front and rear fenders, which thankfully don’t feature the bolt-on look that Liberty Walk has become infamous for. The rear section of the Liberty Walk Abarth 595 sports a widened bumper, a chunky diffuser and a properly mad rear wing.
For those not looking to go the fully mental body kit way, Liberty Walk is offering three parts – front bonnet, rear wing and diffuser for those looking to make their own version of the Abarth 595 to hoon around.
The images of the Liberty Walk Abarth 595 show the modified hot hatch sporting a lowered ride height and sitting on some rather snazzy six-spoke alloy wheels. However, Liberty Walk hasn’t revealed the price for either option.
Thoughts About The Liberty Walk Abarth 595
The Liberty Walk Abarth 595 body kit takes the already manic hot hatch and transforms it into a cute little monster that looks like a homologation rally special.
