A strange case has come to light from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. The inspector posted at Arnia police station here asked for leave from the SSP for the marriage of his niece. He had applied for leave 10 days before the marriage. But in the meantime, due to negligence the Inspector had to suffer the consequences. He got leave when his niece bid farewell. The SSP ordered an investigation to find out how this happened.

Investigation revealed that when the sub-inspector applied for leave, she remained buried among the files in the offices of the station in-charge, CO Khurja and SP Dehat. Due to this the application reached SSP late. According to the information, the engagement of the niece of Subhash, posted as SI in Arnia police station, took place on 12th November and the marriage took place on 15th November. On November 5, the Inspector had submitted an application to the police station for leave from 12 to 17 November for the SSP.

By the time the Inspector’s leave was approved on 17th November, the niece’s engagement, marriage and farewell, all three things had happened. Not getting leave on application for 12 days and the approval of inspector’s leave after his farewell became a topic of discussion. The matter again reached the SSP. Then he asked that which officer is responsible for this, it should be found out.

What did SSP say in the matter?

Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar said, any employee should be given leave as per the situation and requirement. An investigation is being conducted by SP Crime in the matter of giving late leave to the sub-inspector for the wedding of his niece. Based on the investigation report, appropriate action will be taken in the matter.
