A ruckus broke out during a wedding ceremony in Hayat Nagar of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. In this procession, dates were looted and during this loot there was a lot of kicking and punching among the people. People even threw chairs at each other. On receiving the information, the police also reached the spot, but as soon as they saw the police, the people who created disturbance in the function ran away. No one has given any complaint to the police regarding this incident, but the police has taken action against about a dozen people under sections of breach of peace.
A video of this incident is also going viral on social media. The matter pertains to a private marriage garden located in Sarayatrin of Hayat Nagar police station area. According to the police, a wedding procession from Sambhal city had reached this marriage garden on Sunday. There was a lot of enthusiasm about this marriage among the family members. The girl’s side was leaving no stone unturned to welcome the guests. In this way the marriage ceremony was completed and dates started being distributed. During this time people started jostling to collect dates.

Some people even put their hands in the packet of dates. Immediately the date palm was looted and on the spot an altercation and then a fight started between the two parties. People kicked and punched each other fiercely. They even hit each other by throwing chairs. The situation was such that the people present at the function attacked with whatever they could get their hands on. One of the people present in the wedding procession captured this entire incident in his mobile camera and then posted it on social media.

As soon as this video came on social media, it started going viral. In this viral video of 1 minute 2 seconds, it is clearly visible how the marriage hall has become an arena of war. People were still fighting among themselves when someone informed the police. Police also immediately reached the spot and started cracking batons. After this all the unruly elements fled from there. According to Hayat Nagar police station in-charge Chaman Singh, no party has given any complaint in this matter. However, the police has taken action to disturb the peace at its level.
