The country is celebrating the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, CM Nitish Kumar paid tribute in Patna.

Today the country is celebrating the 140th birth anniversary of the first President of India, Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on this occasion, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Rajendra Chowk in Patna. Here he garlanded the statue of Dr. Rajendra Prasad and bowed respectfully to him. During this time, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was with the Chief Minister. The Governor also paid heartfelt tribute to the first President.

During the Rajendra Jayanti state function organized at Rajendra Chowk, the Governor and the Chief Minister also encouraged the women spinning charkha of Swadeshi Kambal Ashram by distributing sarees among them.

Rajendra Ghat also reached the mausoleum.

After Rajendra Chowk, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the Rajendra Ghat Samadhi site and paid tribute to Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad by laying a wreath at his mausoleum. During this, artists of the Information and Public Relations Department presented Aarti Pujan, Bihar songs and patriotic songs.

On this occasion, Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Rural Affairs Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Information and Public Relations Minister Maheshwar Hazari, Transport Minister Sheela Kumari, Legislative Councilor Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhiji, Legislative Councilor Kumud Verma, former minister Vikram Kunwar, JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, former general secretary of the State Citizen Council Arvind Kumar and other social and political leaders. The workers also paid homage to the country’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
