American travel creator Tony Clore named Jamshedpur in Jharkhand as one of his favorite places in India. He greatly appreciated the cleanliness, greenery of the city and the unique management done by Tata Steel.
There is no dearth of places to visit in India. There are big metro cities, calm sea shores, high mountains and also dense forests. One of these is Jamshedpur of Jharkhand, which has won the heart of an American travel creator. His name is Tony Clore. Tony is known for his viral travel videos in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Recently he reached ‘Steel City’ Jamshedpur for the first time and became a fan of this city, which he had not even expected.
While sharing a wonderful video of his journey, Tony said that Jamshedpur was never on his India bucket list, but now it has become one of his favorite places in the country.
He wrote, “Jamshedpur was not on my India bucket list. Now it is one of the places I will tell my kids about. I appreciate the love, kindness and unexpected beauty I have found here. Steel City baby.”
In the video, Tony is seen visiting some famous landmarks of Jamshedpur. He is surprised to see the clean roads, greenery and excellent planning of the city. At the beginning of the clip, he describes the city as ‘uniquely unique’. He explains that unlike most cities in India, Jamshedpur has no municipal corporation. It is supervised by the Civil Administration Department of Tata Steel.
Tony also called Jamshedpur the ‘Pittsburgh of India’. He also praised the sports heritage of the city and said that many of India’s Olympians are from Jamshedpur. In his tour he visited Golpahari Temple, Jubilee Park, Sakchi Market, Dimna Lake and Domuhani. He repeatedly praised the city’s clean public spaces, greenery and solar-powered infrastructure.
Tony also talked about the misconceptions about Jharkhand. He stressed that the state is more beautiful than people think. Reminiscing about her trip, she admits that no one had advised her to visit Jamshedpur, but she is glad she discovered this ‘underrated’ city. He also praised the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views of the city.
