Director Anees Bazmee is busy these days promoting his next film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. He is continuously giving interviews regarding this horror-comedy film coming on the big screen on the occasion of Diwali. Now in an interview he has shared the supernatural experience he had. He has told that once at midnight he felt that a cat was sitting on his chest and strangulating him.
Anees Bazmee, while talking to Bollywood Bubble, shared the ghostly experience he had. He told, “Many things have happened to me. If someone asks, I say that I do not believe in those things. Say it on a psychological level, or maybe my grandmother told me many stories about ghosts in my childhood. So it has an effect, when a person is alone, it is dark, he has heard some stories, then he gets the illusion that he starts feeling something.”
Told the horrifying story of the cat
Anees Bazmee said that such situations happened to me two-four times. He said, “Once I was writing a film, in which I was writing something on a dangerous cat. At that time I used to live in Chaul. When I reached my chaul, it was dark there, there was no light. That cat must be sitting somewhere. Frightened, he jumped on me. I also screamed. Then that thing came and happened.”
Anees said, “One day suddenly at around 3 o’clock in the night, that cat sat on my chest and started strangulating me.” Anees said that this seemed like reality to me, but later I came to know that it was my dream. He said, “My mother and father freed my hands from my neck. I was strangling myself. I couldn’t believe it, I was looking here and there. My mother said it’s nothing Anees. The room is closed. What happened to you, you were strangulating yourself.”
Accident happened again in Rajasthan
Anees Bazmee said that this incident happened to me four-five times. He told that once he was going to Rajasthan outdoor. At that time he was also an assistant director. Anees’s mother forbade him from going alone. But she agreed to Anees’s insistence and took a promise that he would not sleep alone. Anees Bazmee said that there was an assistant director with me in Rajasthan. He was the one who slept with me. I told him that if I strangulate myself, he should wake me up and release my hand.
Anees Bazmee says, “There was a month-long outdoor shoot. Nothing happened for 15-20 days. One day suddenly that accident happened and when I pressed the throttle, some strange sounds must have come out. And instead of saving me, this brother ran away out of fear. Went out and started shouting. People gathered there and rescued me. Had it been two or four more minutes, my career and life would have been over. I told that assistant director, ‘You are so tall, man, and you ran away leaving me.’ He said, brother, it’s okay, I am tall and wide. But man, I may resemble a ghost a bit.” Anees told that he stopped the script he was writing and then he became fine.
