Director Vikram Bhatt’s horror franchise ‘Haunted 3D’ has once again returned to the big screen. ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ has been in the news since its release. Interestingly, the film received mixed reactions from critics and a section of the audience. Despite this, it recovered its budget in the first week and made a place among the profitable films. But on the 8th day its balloon burst at the box office. There was a decline of more than 56 percent in the film’s collection on the 8th day as compared to the 7th day.

This horror drama starring Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay aka Mimoh Chakraborty along with actors like Chetna Pandey, earned around Rs 50 lakh in India on the 8th day i.e. second Friday. Whereas earlier on Thursday the collection of the film was Rs 1.15 crore. If we look at it accordingly, there has been a decline of 56.5 percent in earnings. If we talk about show count, it has reduced to almost half. While the film was shown in 4,150 shows on Thursday, the number of shows of the film on Friday was 2,248. Probably the show count has declined due to the release of other new films including ‘Cocktail 2’.

If we talk about the total earnings of 8 days, then ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ has made a net collection of Rs 16.40 crore. Its gross collection has reached Rs 19.24 crore. Made on a budget of Rs 15 crore, this film has reached a profit of Rs 1.40 crore after taking out the cost.
