These days the Indian team is on tour to Ireland and England for the T20 series. But the excitement of T20 cricket continues at home too. After the end of IPL 2026 season, T20 tournaments of different State Cricket Associations have started, in which those players who do not get a chance in IPL are showing their talent. A similar feat is being seen in the Telangana T20 League (TG20), where in a match, experienced batsman Tanmay Agarwal scored an explosive half-century in just 52 balls and played an innings of 133 runs.

Bowlers flew in the storm of tension

Indian team stars Mohammad Siraj and Tilak Verma have also participated in the TG20 tournament being played in Hyderabad. In the 14th match of the same tournament, Karimnagar Diamonds captain Tanmay Agarwal showed the magic of his bat against Warangal Warriors and scored a stormy century. Agarwal single-handedly scored more than half the runs for the team, while apart from him, only one batsman, HK Simha, could cross the 20 mark, scoring 24 runs in 21 balls.

Even though other batsmen could not contribute much, Tanmay Agarwal did not let it be missed. This experienced left-handed batsman coming from Hyderabad destroyed the bowlers of Warangal and scored a century in 52 balls while hitting fours and sixes. When he was out in the 17th over, the team’s score was 185 runs, but out of this, 133 runs came from Tanmay’s bat alone, for which he faced 61 balls. On the basis of his innings, Karimnagar team scored 209 runs.

Record of most sixes in an innings

31 year old Tanmay Aggarwal also hit 15 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. His strike rate was 218. Even though he was successful in taking the ball across the boundary 7 times in this innings, he has already made a special mark in terms of hitting sixes and has also made a record in his name. This Indian batsman has the record of hitting the most number of sixes in an innings of a first class cricket match. While playing for Hyderabad in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, he hit the maximum number of 26 sixes in an innings against Arunachal Pradesh. No other batsman in the entire world has hit more sixes than him in an innings.
