Telangana murder case: In Rangareddy district of Telangana, an accused under POCSO Act brutally murdered 6 people including a minor girl. The victim’s family has alleged that if the police had wanted, everyone would have been alive. But these murders took place due to their negligence.
A heart-wrenching incident has taken place in Rangareddy district of Telangana. Here an accused under the POCSO Act brutally murdered six people including a minor girl on Saturday. Now the girl’s maternal uncle has accused the local police of serious negligence. He claims that several complaints were given to the police about the death threats the family was receiving, but the police completely ignored it.
The police had informed the family about the danger.
- Speaking to ANI, Naresh, the maternal uncle of the victim girl, alleged that the threat to his family had increased ever since a molestation case (under the POCSO Act) was filed against 35-year-old accused Raju Kumar. He had repeatedly told the police about this.
- Naresh said, “We had registered a case under the POCSO Act because he was harassing the minor girl. Even after the case was registered, he openly threatened that he would kill our entire family within two days. We told the police and also complained, but they neither detained him nor conducted any proper investigation.”
roaming around openly and threatening
- Alleging serious lapses in the investigation, Naresh said that shortly after the initial complaint in May, the accused managed to get anticipatory bail. After this he kept roaming openly in the area and threatening the family.
- “A week later, we asked the police what action was taken. His family members knew where he was, but the police kept saying that they were unable to locate him. We also told them that he was roaming around Shahabad and threatening us, yet no effective action was taken,” he alleged.
Now what punishment will the police give after 6 murders?
- Holding the police directly responsible, Naresh said, “Now he has done what we had warned the police about. The main reason for this is the negligence of the police. The officers responsible should be suspended and punished. Due to their negligence, three people from our family lost their lives.”
- Following this gruesome massacre, grief-stricken family members and local people staged a massive protest outside the Shahabad police station. They were raising slogans and demanding strict action against the policemen who failed to stop the tragedy despite prior warnings.
Friday Night Goosebumps
The sequence of Friday night’s incident is shocking. The accused Raju Kumar, resident of Raiwalaguda, reached Shahabad city by car at around 10:45 pm and attacked the house of the minor girl. According to reports, as soon as the girl’s 42-year-old mother opened the door, the accused stabbed her to death. After this, he also killed the sleeping 60 year old grandmother and forcefully abducted the minor girl in his car. Later, he also stabbed the girl to death and dumped her body near a local lake.
The devil killed the entire family in their sleep.
- This brutality did not stop here. At 11:21 pm, the accused returned to his home and allegedly murdered his 31-year-old wife, four-year-old son and 18-month-old innocent son by slitting their throats while they were sleeping. Within just an hour he destroyed both the families.
- According to the investigation, the accused later called his father and confessed that he had “destroyed both the families” and was now going to commit suicide. The parents of the accused immediately informed the police control room.
- Telangana Police has launched a massive search operation and deployed several special teams to nab the absconding accused. The bodies of all the six victims have been sent to the government mortuary for postmortem and further investigation is underway. (ANI)
