India’s Under 19 team has hoisted the tricolor in Colombo. Under the captaincy of captain Yashvardhan Chauhan, Team India defeated Sri Lanka Under-19 team by 211 runs. Sri Lankan team had a target of 472 runs to win, in response to which Team India reduced it to just 260 runs. Leg spinner Rohit Yadav took 4 wickets in the second innings. Whereas fast bowler C Venkata got 3 wickets. Before this, three batsmen of Team India showed their mettle by scoring centuries. In the first innings, Kushagra Ojha and Manal Chauhan scored centuries, while in the second innings, opener Lakshya Raichandani scored a century.
India’s big score in the first innings
India put Sri Lanka on the backfoot by scoring big in the first innings itself. Although the start of Team India was not good. Lakshya Raichandani and Sagar Virk could not even open accounts. But after this, Kushagra Ojha played an inning of 111 runs and captain Yashvardhan Chauhan played an inning of 78 runs. Manal Chauhan also scored 150 runs. Despite a bad start, Team India made a big score of 411 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka’s first innings was reduced to just 148 runs. All five bowlers of India performed brilliantly. Pranab Raghavendra, C Venkata, Rohit Yadav and Jagannathan took 2 wickets each. Kavya Patel got 1 wicket.

Indian batsmen excelled in the second innings as well.
The brilliance of the Indian batsmen was also seen in the second innings. Opener Lakshya Raichandani scored an unbeaten century in the second innings after being reduced to 0 in the first innings. He scored 100 runs. Apart from him, Manal Chauhan played an inning of 51 runs. Team India declared the innings after scoring 208 runs in the second innings. After this, in the second innings, Senuja and Vimat played half-centuries for Sri Lanka but they could not avoid the defeat of their team.
