Team India Squad: Those who were dropped from Team India, now their selection, return of these 2 players

The curtain has finally fallen on the bad journey of Team India’s T20 series on the England tour. The Indian team failed to win even a single match. Now the eyes are on the ODI series, so that some of the lost credibility can be regained to some extent. But even before that, Team India has suffered a setback due to the injury of Harshit Rana, who has been ruled out of the series. In his place, young fast bowler Prince Yadav has now got a chance in the team. Ravi Bishnoi has returned for the T20 series on Zimbabwe tour.

Harshit-Varun got injured in T20 series

A day after the end of the T20 series, BCCI announced two important changes for the upcoming matches. Both these changes have been made due to injury. In the information released by BCCI, it has been said that fast bowler Harshit Rana is suffering from hamstring (grade-1) injury, due to which he will not be able to play in the ODI series. Spinner Varun Chakraborty has also suffered a hamstring (grade-2) injury and will not be able to play the T20 series in Zimbabwe.

Prince and Bishnoi returned after dropping

Harshit and Varun were part of the recent England series and both were out of the series after the third match due to injury. In such a situation, BCCI had to announce their replacement, for which Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi were selected. Incidentally, both these players were part of the previous series of their respective formats but were dropped for these tours.

Prince had made his debut in the last ODI series against Afghanistan and his performance was impressive. Bishnoi was a part of the current Ireland and England T20 series but was not selected for the Zimbabwe tour. Luckily, both of them have now returned to the team. The 3-match ODI series between India and England is starting from 14th July, while the Indian team’s Zimbabwe tour will start from 23rd July, in which 3 T20 matches will be played.
