Team India now has to play a series of 5 T20 matches at home against New Zealand. For which the selection committee as well as Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir can demand the inclusion of 6 Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players in the team squad.
T20 series against New Zealand is to be held in the year 2026
Recently, a test series is being played between Team India and New Zealand (IND VS NZ), but after this test series, Team India is traveling to Australia. Due to which the white ball cricket match against New Zealand will be played in the month of January in the year 2026. For which the selection committee will give the responsibility of captaincy of Team India only to a veteran batsman like Suryakumar Yadav.
6 KKR players will be included in New Zealand T20 series
For the 5 T20 match series between Team India and New Zealand (IND VS NZ), the selection committee can include 6 players from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise in the 15-member team squad. These 6 players include the names of captain Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, all-rounder Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh and Varun Chakraborty.
Out of these 6, Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson currently represent different franchises in IPL cricket, but both of those Indian players also started their career with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
