The command of the team for this series can remain with Rohit Sharma only. While some senior players like Jasprit Bumrah may be rested to manage their workload keeping the Champions Trophy in mind.

After Rahul’s poor form and Rishabh Pant’s return to the team, now it has to be seen who can get the chance in the team first. Both of them got a chance in the series against Sri Lanka but neither of them could perform well.
Jadeja can also make a comeback
Ravindra Jadeja may also return to the team. Jadeja was rested in the Sri Lanka series only in view of the home season and Border Gavaskar Trophy but he can be rested in this series. Shreyas Iyer’s place in the team is also in question because his series with Sri Lanka was bad and he could not do anything in the World Cup final also.
