Chennai: The Chennai Meteorological Centre has predicted that light rain is likely to occur in a few places across Tamil Nadu until April 21. The forecast brings some relief to residents of the Western Ghats districts, coastal areas of the Delta districts, isolated spots in Ramanathapuram district, and the Karaikal region, where rainfall is expected.

The Meteorological Centre has warned that discomfort due to high heat and humidity may be experienced in a few isolated places across coastal Tamil Nadu, as well as in the Puducherry and Karaikal regions. Until April 19, maximum temperatures in a few places within the interior districts of Tamil Nadu could rise up to 3 degrees Celsius above normal levels.
