Hajj Yatra 2027: Tamil Nadu government has announced that those Muslims of Tamil Nadu who want to go on Haj pilgrimage in the coming year 2027 can apply. An official notification of the Government of Tamil Nadu has been issued in this regard, which states that the Tamil Nadu State Haj Committee wishes to inform that the Haj Committee of India based in Mumbai has started receiving applications from Muslim pilgrims from Tamil Nadu who wish to undertake Haj pilgrimage in 2027.

Those who wish to apply for Haj 2027 through Haj Committee of India can apply online on the website of Haj Committee of India till 11.59 pm on July 20, 2026. Website of Haj Committee of India https//hajcommittee.gov.in You can apply by filling the application form through or downloading the HAJ SUVIDHA app.

Important rules for applicants

Applicants are advised to read the guidelines and affidavit carefully to confirm their eligibility. You can also upload scanned copies of multiple documents:

  • Must have valid Indian passport issued on or before the last date of application submission.
  • passport size photo
  • Bank passbook or canceled check
  • Like last year, selected Haj pilgrims can choose between two departure points depending on their preference.
  • Haj Committee of India is following the rule that the pilgrimage can be undertaken only once in a lifetime.

Fine will be imposed for canceling the trip

It is mandatory for new applicants applying for passport to fill their family name and last name. Also, pilgrims selected for the holy Hajj pilgrimage in 2027 have been advised to be ready to pay the first installment of Rs 1,52,300 per person and ensure that they have a valid passport.

The last date for submission of online filled application forms by the applicants is 20th July 2026. Additionally, if Haj pilgrims have to cancel their journey due to any reason other than death or serious illness, a fine will be imposed. This may cause financial loss to the applicants, hence those wishing to travel should apply only after careful consideration.
