Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has opened up about his character in the recently released streaming thriller Shaque: Trust No One, describing the role as someone carrying the emotional burden of his wife’s prolonged grief while trying to preserve a sense of family.
Tahir spoke about the show alongside co-stars Parineeti Chopra and Soni Razdan during its promotions in Mumbai.
Describing the premise, he said the series revolves around a mother who has been searching for her missing child for nine years and the impact that the prolonged search has on her family, including her husband.
“My character has the burden of managing the emotional sense of loss and anguish that the wife is going through but also trying to have some semblance of a family, and his idea of a happy family,” Tahir said.
He added that the character is also a father to their second daughter and has to navigate his own relationships and responsibilities while dealing with the family’s trauma.
“What makes it interesting is that in every episode, you get to unravel the layers of this character,” he said, adding that he particularly enjoyed the way the script developed the characters.
Tahir said every character undergoes an arc as the story progresses, with those individual journeys eventually contributing to the central mystery.
