ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Prize Money: In view of the increasing interest and growing stature of women’s cricket across the world, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken a historic decision. There has been a huge increase in the prize money for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in England. This tournament is going to start from June 12, which will be the biggest Women’s T20 World Cup till date, in which 12 teams will participate for the first time. During this period, a total of 33 matches will be played on seven grounds in England.

How many crores will you get as a reward for winning the T20 World Cup?

ICC has hugely increased the prize pool for this World Cup. This time, the team that becomes champion will get an amount of $ 2.34 million (more than Rs 22 crore) and the runner-up will get an amount of $ 1.17 million (about Rs 11 crore). Apart from this, a participation amount of $247,500 (approximately Rs 2 crore) has also been fixed for each team. The teams which will be out of the tournament after losing in the semi-finals will also not have to return empty handed. The team that loses the semi-final will get approximately Rs 6.56 crore.

ICC has fixed prize money not only for knockout matches but also for league stage matches. The team will get a bonus of approximately Rs 29 lakh for every win during the group stage. At the same time, after winning the ODI World Cup last year, the Indian team under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur will take the field this time with the intention of winning its first T20 World Cup title. Which is one of the biggest contenders to win the tournament.

12 teams will play for the first time

For the first time in the history of the Women’s T20 World Cup, the scope of the tournament has been expanded. This time 12 teams are participating instead of 10. All 12 teams have been divided into two groups of 6-6. During the league stage, each team will play one match each against the remaining 5 teams of its group. The top-2 teams of both the groups will directly qualify for the semi-finals. During this period, a total of 33 matches will be played in the tournament.
