Swara Bhasker’s Jauhar controversy is still fresh in people’s minds. She had called the Padmaavat movie’s Jauhar scene ‘problematic’. After her comment, the Veere Di Wedding actress was highly criticised. Her co-contestant from Rise And Fall 2, Siwet Tomar, had also lashed out at her and stated that she should apologise for her comment because, as a Rajput, he got offended by it. Now, Swara’s husband Fahad Ahmad came out in support of his wife and said that she won’t apologise with folded hands. In a recent interview, the politician hit back at Siwet Tomar.
Fahad Ahmad Slams Siwet Tomar
In an interview with India Forums, said that Siwet Tomar didn’t understand the context of ’s original remark. He said, “Mujhe lagta hai ki Swara ne jo bola hai, uske liye toh woh kabhi haath jodkar maafi nahi maangegi. Number one. Number two, Siwet pehle ye batayein ki usne kya suna hai? Kya usne ye suna hai ki Swara ne Rani Padmavati ji, jinka bahut samman hai, unko coward bola tha? Ye toh jhooth hai. Usne toh bola hi nahi tha.” (sic)
Fahad Ahmad recalled how Swara Bhasker took a stand for Siwet Tomar when he was in Rise And Fall 2. She had also stood by him when he was treated unfairly and thrown out of the show for getting to a physical fight with Shehzad Poonawalla. He feels that the larger context of her statement should not be overlooked while discussing the controversy.

The SP leader explained that Swara’s comment on Rani Padmavati was misunderstood by people. Fahad Ahmad said, “Main wahi bata raha hoon. Jo woh poori controversy thi, woh galat tareeke se misrepresent ki gayi hai. Swara ne ye kabhi nahi bola hai, kabhi nahi bola hai Rani Padmavati ji ke baare mein. Usne ye zaroor bola hai, uska ek example tha ki aap isko glorify mat kijiye. Agar main aapko limited mein bataun, toh uska kehna sirf itna tha ki isko glorify mat kijiye.” (sic)
