Shubhendu confident about victory

Shubhendu said that the competition may be tough in the initial rounds in Bhawanipur, but as the further rounds are counted, he will take the lead. Talking to reporters, he said, “BJP is forming the government. In the initial trend, BJP is 135 plus and Trinamool is around 100. In Bhawanipur, the contest will be very close in the first few rounds. Out of 14 booths in the first round, 6 are Muslim dominated. Last time they got 90-95% votes from here, but this time it did not happen; there is a dent in it. I am ahead in 8 Hindu booths. From 9-10th round I will take the lead in Bhawanipur.”

Shubhendu further said, “Not only is there an anti-incumbency wave, Hindu votes have also united in favor of the lotus symbol. This is a very good sign for us… Muslim votes have also been divided in Malda, Murshidabad and North Dinajpur.”

Shubhendu told ANI, “This time Hindus have voted as one. And the way Muslims used to vote for Trinamool, it did not happen this time. Some votes have gone towards Muslim-friendly parties. BJP has also got a few votes. Such good results were not expected at the Muslim booths of Nandigram… The guarantee of making Bengal under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji has gone in their favor. There is no need to be so hasty.” I will talk again after 11 am.”
