The police is now considering the death of Pune businessman Ketan Aggarwal as an alleged murder. The investigation claims that fiancee Sia Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Choudhary conspired due to pressure of marriage and relationship. Both have been arrested, investigation is ongoing.
Pune: A sensational case has come to light from Pune, Maharashtra which has torn apart sacred relationships like marriage and human trust. The death of Ketan Agarwal, Director and Chief Marketing Officer, Success Group (Real Estate Business), which was initially believed to be a tragic trekking accident, turned out to be a very chilling and well-planned murder. When the police connected the links in the case of Ketan’s death after falling into a 400 feet deep moat of Lohagarh Fort on June 18, even the investigators themselves were stunned to see the truth. Ketan’s fiancee Siya Goyal along with her lover Chetan Chaudhary had carried out this entire incident. Both the accused have been arrested and sent to police custody till June 29.
Booked a palace worth crores of rupees for the wedding… but a ‘killer’ plan was growing in the mind.
The most shocking revelation in this high-profile murder mystery has been regarding Sia Goyal’s motive. Senior police officers said that Siya was not at all mentally prepared for this marriage. Under pressure from both the families, she accepted Ketan’s marriage proposal, but she wanted to get rid of this relationship. Their marriage was going to happen in the coming month of November. The families had booked a luxurious palace worth crores of rupees in Rajasthan for this royal wedding and arrangements had been made for two private planes to transport the guests. But on the other hand, Sia was madly in love with Kondhwa resident Chetan Chaudhary, whom she met at a Diwali party last year. She started considering Ketan as the biggest obstacle between her life and love and that is why she decided to remove Ketan from her path forever.
What was the mystery of ‘Lonavla Food Mall’ and missing passport?
Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal has made many shocking revelations to the police, which reveal the depth of this conspiracy. He told that before the marriage, Ketan, his brother, sister and Sia were going on a trip to Bali, Indonesia. The passports of all four were kept safe in the same pouch and they left for Mumbai airport by car. On the way, the car stopped at a food mall in Lonavala. The father alleges that:
- Only one passport missing from the pouch: Siya went back alone making the excuse of forgetting her phone in the car. When they reached the airport, everyone else’s passports were safe from the pouch, but only Ketan’s passport was mysteriously missing.
- Bali trip cancelled, Lonavala insists: This international trip had to be canceled due to lack of passport. Soon after this, Siya quarreled with Ketan and insisted that if not Bali then they would go for trekking to Lohagarh Fort (Lonavala). The father alleges that the disappearance of the passport was part of this dreadful conspiracy.
That first failed attempt of June 14: That false noise of ‘snake-snake’!
Investigators suspect that an attempt was made to kill Ketan at the same place on June 14, just four days before the June 18 incident. Ketan’s father told that on June 14, when both of them were on the same dangerous edge of Lohagarh Fort, Ketan was given a strong push from behind.
At that time, Ketan showed wisdom and grabbed the nearby bushes and his life was narrowly saved. When Ketan nervously asked who pushed him, Siya immediately made a false noise of ‘snake-snake’ and claimed that she had pulled Ketan back to save him from the snake, due to which he lost balance and leaned forward. The police are now investigating the pattern of his previous visits to the fort on May 31 and June 14 through forensic and digital evidence.
What happened in Lohagarh Fort that day?
According to Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, on June 18, both of them reached Lohagarh Fort on the pretext of celebrating Sia’s birthday. But before going there, Sia and her lover Chetan Choudhary met in a cafe, where the entire blueprint of the murder was prepared. As per the plan, Chetan Choudhary had reached the fort before the couple arrived and was following them by hiding in a secluded place.
The secret meeting of the cafe and the scary truth of the 400 feet deep ditch
As soon as Ketan reached a dangerous edge of the fort, Siya and Chetan together pushed him into a 400 feet deep ditch. After the incident, Sia narrated the story to the police in a very vicious manner that Ketan’s foot had slipped while taking photographs amidst strong winds. But the police found many discrepancies in his statements. The father also told that when his son’s dead body was revealed, there was not even an iota of sadness on Siya’s face. When the local crime branch took Chetan into custody on the basis of technical evidence and strict interrogation, he revealed the entire truth of this dreadful conspiracy. At present, Lonavala Rural Police is conducting a thorough judicial review and forensic investigation of the case.
