A case of indecent behavior with girl students has come to light in a government school in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It is alleged that after Rs 1000 went missing, a teacher made the girl students of class 9 and 11 remove their clothes and searched them.
After the incident, there was widespread anger among the villagers and parents. After the protest, the Education Department has suspended the accused teacher with immediate effect.
The girls of class 9 and 11 were made to remove their clothes.
This case pertains to the Government Higher Secondary School located in Liwali village of Bamanwas subdivision. According to officials, around Rs 1000 of senior Hindi teacher Saraswati Meena went missing on Tuesday. When the money was not found, they raised suspicion on the Class 9 and 11 girl students and allegedly searched them. The girl students and their families allege that during this time the girls were made to remove their clothes, due to which they became mentally hurt.
After reaching home, the girl students narrated the entire incident to their family members. After this, a large number of villagers and parents reached the school on Wednesday morning, locked the main gate and started protesting.
Teacher suspended as soon as information about the matter came to light
On receiving information about the matter, Chief Block Education Officer (CBEO) Pratibha Meena reached the school. He talked to the girl students individually, collected complete information and sent the report to higher authorities. On the basis of the investigation report, the Education Department suspended the accused teacher with immediate effect under the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1958.
Action started against the principal also
At the same time, departmental action has also been initiated against school principal Manoj Kumar Meena. Officials say that the principal did not take the matter to higher authorities on time and did not take it seriously. In this regard, the process of disciplinary action has also been started against him.
The teacher denied the allegation of making him remove his clothes.
However, teacher Saraswati Meena has denied the allegations. He says that the girl students were interrogated only in connection with the missing money and the allegation of making them strip is completely baseless. She said that since she was a woman, she had interrogated only the girl students.
Meanwhile, some parents alleged that some school employees also put pressure on the girl students not to make the incident public. Assuring a fair investigation, the Education Department has said that whoever is found guilty in the investigation, strict action will be taken against him as per rules.
