Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The look out circular issued by CBI will remain cancelled. The Supreme Court has rejected the petition of the Maharashtra government while upholding the decision of the Bombay High Court.
Along with Rhea Chakraborty, her father and brother have also got relief. In fact, on Rhea’s petition, in February, the Bombay High Court had canceled the CBI’s look out circular. This decision of the High Court was challenged in the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court has upheld the HC’s decision.
Rhea Chakraborty gets relief from Supreme Court
In the year 2020, CBI had issued a look out circular on Rhea Chakraborty, her brother and father in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It was canceled by the Bombay High Court saying that there was no special reason behind its issuance. It was also said that the actress and her family have fully cooperated with the investigating agencies.
Actually, on June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment. The investigation was started after registering the report in Mumbai. But Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had filed a complaint in Bihar, after which many allegations were leveled against Rhea Chakraborty and her family. This case was later transferred to CBI. In the year 2020 itself, CBI had issued a look out circular against Rhea Chakraborty. After which the actress filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, where the look out circular of CBI was cancelled. The HC order was challenged in the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court has rejected Maharashtra’s appeal.
