Gujarat Titans’ assistant coach Parthiv Patel has praised the excellent form of Rajasthan Royals’ explosive opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The second qualifier of IPL 2026 will be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.
Both the teams are in great form and fans can get a value for money match. In this upcoming match, once again all eyes will be on the batting of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is the highest run scorer in the season. Before the upcoming match, Gujarat’s assistant coach Parthiv Patel told that the Gujarat team is making some strategies to face Vaibhav.
Parthiv Patel has said that Gujarat Titans team should watch the video of the young batsman and like other teams, they will also try to get him out early in the match. However, Parthiv Patel kept his exact strategies hidden. He said that how well these plans are implemented on the field will decide the outcome of the match.
Vaibhav’s bat did not work yesterday
Parthiv Patel said on the eve of the match, “I am very impressed with the way Vaibhav is batting. Hopefully we will try to get him out early in the match. As all the other teams are making strategies, we have also watched the videos. Hopefully we will be successful in implementing our plan on the field. But what is that plan, we will be able to tell only after getting on the field. “He has been an exceptional talent and the style he has been playing is fantastic. But as an opposition team we hope tomorrow that his bat does not work.”
Royals have the ‘X factor’ in Suryavanshi and Jofra Archer while Tynes’ team depends on consistency. “As long as we are getting results, we don’t need to think about whether we want the X factor or continuity,” Parthiv said. It’s just about getting everything in place and getting the result.” The Titans won the IPL in their debut season in 2022 and have failed to make it to the play-offs only once in the franchise’s history.
He said, “Since the inception of Gujarat Titans, we have qualified four out of five years. The results are in front of everyone. Everyone has their own different way of playing. We have our own different style of playing. We were not doing very well even in the first half of the tournament. We were playing just fine.” Parthiv said, ”But still we stuck to our process. We are confident in our abilities. We know what we can do. And that’s something we’ll try to do tomorrow as well.”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke Chris Gayle’s record of most sixes in an IPL season by hitting 12 sixes on Wednesday night. He was very close to breaking Gayle’s record of fastest IPL century (30 balls) but was out after scoring 97 runs on the 29th ball itself. He now tops the Orange Cap table with 680 runs.
