Suryakumar Yadav's condition worsened in just one match, he may be out of the team

Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir had strictly instructed all the players to participate in domestic cricket. Since then, many big players of Team India are playing in the Buchi Babu tournament. One of these names is Suryakumar Yadav. He recently played a match against TNCA XI on behalf of Mumbai. His condition worsened in just one match that he had to go to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Actually, while fielding at leg slip against TNCA XI, he injured his right thumb. Due to this, his playing in the Duleep Trophy is now in doubt. If the injury is not cured in time, he may have to be dropped from the Duleep Trophy team.

Setback for Gaikwad’s team

The new season of BCCI is going to start with the Duleep Trophy. 60 players have been selected for this tournament. All of them have been divided into four teams of 15 each. Suryakumar Yadav was placed in Team C, which is captained by Rituraj Gaikwad. Now only 4 days are left for the start of the tournament, which will be played in Anantapur and Bengaluru from September 5. If Surya is unable to recover from his thumb injury, then Gaikwad’s team will suffer a major setback.

Buchi Babu flopped in the tournament

In the Buchi Babu tournament, TNCA XI defeated Mumbai by a huge margin of 286 runs. With this defeat, Mumbai is out of the tournament. Surya could not show anything special in this match. Surya scored 30 runs in 38 balls in the first innings. In the second innings, he did not come to bat due to injury. Apart from him, Shreyas Iyer and Sarfaraz Khan also flopped.

Suryakumar Yadav has been out of the Test team for a long time and was looking for a way to make a comeback. But his performance in the Buchi Babu tournament was not good. At the same time, there is a threat of being out of the Duleep Trophy. In such a situation, there is little hope of getting a chance in the Test series against Bangladesh next month.
