Sukma Rural Employment Scheme: Vikas Bharat Employment and Livelihood Mission started in Sukma. Rural families will get the benefit of 125 days employment, Rs 300 per day wage and skill development.
Sukma Viksit Bharat Gram Yojana: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, an important initiative has been taken towards increasing employment and livelihood opportunities in rural areas. ‘Developed India Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Gram Yojana’ was launched in Sukma district by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Public representatives, women self-help groups, Panchayat representatives and officials of various departments participated enthusiastically in the program organized in the meeting hall of the District Panchayat.
125 days employment and daily wage of Rs 300
The program was organized under the guidance of Sukma Collector Shri Amit Kumar. During this, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Shri Mukund Thakur gave detailed information about the scheme. He said that under this scheme, eligible rural families will be provided employment for 125 days in a year. A daily wage of Rs 300 will be given for each working day. The main objective of the scheme is to increase the income of rural families and make them economically strong and self-reliant.
Livelihood and skill development opportunities for women and youth
This scheme will not be limited to providing employment only, but skill development, financial assistance and livelihood based activities will also be promoted. This will provide new employment opportunities to women, youth and rural families at the local level. Besides this, self-employment will also be encouraged, which will increase economic activities in the villages and provide better sources of income to the people.
Public representatives called the scheme a big initiative for rural development.
The program was inaugurated by District Panchayat President Smt. Mangamma Soyam by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Mahesh Kumar Kunjam, District Panchayat member Mr. Korsa Sannu, public representative Mr. Dhaniram Barse and other public representatives were present. All the speakers described the scheme as an important step towards rural development, economic empowerment and social security.
Live broadcast of Union Minister’s address
During the program, the address of the Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister was also telecast live. In the address, detailed information was shared on the role of rural India in building a developed India, employment generation, new livelihood opportunities and various topics related to rural development.
Rural economy will get new strength
The district administration believes that effective implementation of the scheme will increase employment opportunities in rural areas of Sukma, improve the income of rural families and strengthen the local economy. This scheme will play an important role in realizing the resolve of self-reliant villages, economic empowerment and developed India.
