BJP women’s wing leader Deepika Patel (30) committed suicide by hanging herself at home in Surat, Gujarat. This incident happened late on Sunday night in Bhimrad area of Surat. Deepika’s body was found hanging from the fan in the room. Police have not found any suicide note from the spot. There is an uproar in Gujarat after the suicide of Deepika Patel. Police is taking this matter as a special case and further investigation has been started.
Police have revealed the conversation with one of Deepika’s colleagues after her death, in which the BJP leader had admitted that he was going through stress. According to the police, before the incident, Deepika Patel called Ward 30 councilor Chirag Solanki and told that she was under stress and wanted to end her life. Chirag, whom she considered her brother, immediately reached her house. He knocked the door repeatedly, but got no response from inside. After this, when the door was broken, Deepika’s body was found hanging from the fan.
Deepika’s husband was not at home
Deepika’s husband was out of the house at the time of the incident. But the children were present at home only. Chirag Solanki immediately took him to the hospital. But the doctors there declared him dead. The post mortem report has confirmed that he died by hanging. The police have seized his mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination to find out the reasons behind his suicide. Meanwhile, a relative of the deceased also said that Deepika was a BJP worker for a long time and was also doing social service. Her family always feared Deepika’s murder. The relative said that it could also be murder. The police should investigate this matter seriously.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Singh Gurjar said. Deepika was the president of BJP Mahila Morcha of ward number 30 in Althana. At present the reasons behind the suicide are not known. Police are interrogating the family and close ones. Deepika Patel’s death has created a wave of grief and concern in the political circles of Surat and Gujarat. The causes of stress and any other pressure aspects are being investigated. The investigation of this case is also going on from the angle of murder.
