FSSAI has created a new app to get rid of unsafe food, which is named Food Safety Connect. If you see a lot of dirt in a food shop or there is adulteration in the food, then you do not need to ignore it. Know how you can complain about food in the app.

How to complain about food in FSSAI?

step 1: Download Food Safety Connect app in mobile. This is a complaint app.

Step 2: Login/Register on the app with mobile number or email.

Step 3: Click on the option of “Lodge Complaint” or “Register Complaint”.

Step 4: You will have to enter the address and name of the hotel, restaurant, dhaba or food shop where you want to complain.

Step 5: You can upload photos or videos of dirty food, dirty kitchen or food related problems.

Step 6: You write a few lines about the problem of food or dirt and click on the submit button.

Step 7: As soon as you register the complaint, you will get the Complaint Reference Number. Track the status of your complaint through this number.

In which cases can a complaint be made?

• You can lodge complaints about food related problems through the Food Safety Connect app.
• If there is dirt in any hotel, restaurant, dhaba or food stall.
• Goods with expiry date are being sold in the shop.
• Insects, hair or other dirt are found in the food. You should click the photo and send it immediately.
• If a food business is running without FSSAI license, a complaint can also be made about it.
