Pakistani team gets new batting coach

Pakistan team recently visited Australia. During this period, very poor play was seen from Pakistan’s batsmen. Especially in the T20 series, all the batsmen were seen struggling to score runs. In such a situation, now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to make Shahid Aslam the batting coach of the national white ball team. Aslam is a qualified coach, having worked with the Pakistan team for many years in various capacities including assistant coach, fielding coach and assistant manager.

However, for the last two years he has been working on a coaching post at the High Performance Center in Lahore. Now on the recommendation of coach Aaqib Javed, Aslam has been brought as batting coach. Before this, former Test captain Mohammad Yousuf was working as a batting coach with the Pakistan team and then he was made the selector of the national team. But Yusuf had resigned from both the posts. He is now working in High Performance Centre. Yusuf had also recently resigned from his post at the High Performance Center but the PCB has rejected his resignation.
