Even though Diwali is on 31st October, the Muhurat trading event in the stock market was organized on 1st November. On this day, shares of top 10 companies of the country appeared in the green. The special thing is that during the one-hour trading session, there was an increase of more than Rs 31,500 crore in the market cap of the top 10 companies. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries benefited the most. After which an increase of about Rs 8,800 crore was seen in the market cap. On the other hand, there was an increase of more than Rs 5,100 crore in the market cap of TSS and an increase of about Rs 5,000 crore in the market cap of LIC.
However, a day earlier i.e. during Muhurta trading, there was a rise in the stock market. Bombay Stock Exchange’s main index Sensex closed with a gain of 335 points. The special thing is that this is the 7th consecutive year when the stock market has seen a boom on the occasion of Diwali Muhurta trading. - On the occasion of one hour of Muhurta trading, the market cap of the country’s largest company Reliance Industries saw an increase of Rs 8,796.05 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 18,03,324.00 crore to Rs 18,12,120.05 crore.
- On the occasion of one hour of Muhurta trading, the market cap of the country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services saw an increase of Rs 5,119.6 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 14,36,833.00 crore to Rs 14,41,952.60 crore.
- During one hour of Muhurta trading, the market cap of the country’s largest insurance company LIC witnessed an increase of Rs 4,965.13 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 5,83,544.28 crore to Rs 5,88,509.41 crore.
- On the occasion of one hour Muhurat trading, the market cap of Airtel, which is among the largest telecom companies of the country, saw an increase of Rs 2,732.81 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 9,17,566.54 crore to Rs 9,20,299.35 crore.
- On the occasion of one hour Muhurta trading, the market cap of ITC, which is among the largest FMCG companies of the country, saw an increase of Rs 2,564.49 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 6,11,098.47 crore to Rs 6,13,662.96 crore.
- On the occasion of one hour of Muhurta trading, the market cap of the country’s largest FMCG company HUL saw an increase of Rs 2,549.31 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 5,93,859.19 crore to Rs 5,96,408.50 crore.
- During the one-hour Muhurta trading, the market cap of the country’s largest private lender HDFC Bank witnessed an increase of Rs 2,174.78 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 13,23,901.87 crore to Rs 13,26,076.65 crore.
- On the occasion of one hour Muhurat trading, the market cap of Infosys, which is among the biggest IT companies of the country, saw an increase of Rs 1,847.71 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased from Rs 7,29,594.47 crore to Rs 7,31,442.18 crore.
