Stormy fifty, rain of sixes… Team India changed 147 years of history with 9 brilliant records.

Hardly anyone would have thought that after two and a half days of rain, the Kanpur Test, which was heading towards a draw, would suddenly move towards an exciting match and the possibility of victory would start appearing – that too the victory of Team India. In this match being played between India and Bangladesh, on the fourth day, Team India presented such a spectacle of aggressive cricket, which was never seen before in the 147 year history of Test cricket. After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs, Team India declared its innings at 285 runs in less than 2 sessions and then raised hopes of a clear result in the match by taking 2 wickets of Bangladesh in the second innings.

In this way he got a lead of 52 runs. Till stumps, Bangladesh had scored 26 runs and still trailed by 26 runs. On the basis of this indiscriminate batting on Monday, Team India performed some amazing feats for the first time in the history of Test cricket.

9 explosive records of Team India

  1. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma made an explosive start and took Team India beyond 50 runs in 2.6 i.e. exactly 3 overs. This is the fastest 50 runs by any team in the 147 year history of Test cricket.
  2. Rohit got a chance to bat for the first time in the second over and hit consecutive sixes on the first and second balls of Khaled Ahmed. In this way, he became the first opener in Test cricket who hit 2 sixes in the first 2 balls of his innings.
  3. After this, Team India completed 100 runs of its innings in 10.1 overs and this also became the record of fastest 100 runs in any innings in Test cricket.
  4. Team India continued its attack like this and then made the record of fastest 150 runs in Test history in 18.2 overs.
  5. After the explosive start of Rohit-Jaiswal and Gill, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul increased the pace and made this record by taking the team beyond 200 runs in 24.2 overs.
