Stocks to watch today: Force Motors, Bajaj Finance, L&T and more in focus

Kolkata: The stock market staged a recovery on Wednesday with  recovering 609.45 points or 0.79% to reach 77,496.36, while Nifty 50 closed at 24,177.65, up 81.95 points or 0.76%. This morning GIFT Nifty was trading in the red.

Today the focus of investors will be on several stocks due to a variety of reasons from significant investments to major deals, Q4 results and winning contracts. Let’s have a closer look.

Q4 results Today

A number of companies are set to announce their quarterly (Q4) results today. These are Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finserv, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, ACC, Aster DM Healthcare, Central Bank of India, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Edelweiss Financial Services, Equitas Small Finance Bank, IDBI Bank, IndiaMART InterMESH, Dr Lal PathLabs, Laurus Labs, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, National Aluminium Company, National Securities Depository, RailTel Corporation of India, R R Kabel, Sona BLW Precision Forgings and Sundram Fasteners.

Stocks in focus

Bajaj Finance: Its Q4FY26 PAT grew 22% to Rs 5,553 crore against Rs 4,546 crore in Q4FY25. Net interest income rose 20% to Rs 11,781 crore against Rs 9,808 crore in Q4FY25. The board of directors have approved fund raising by issuing debt instruments.

Indegene: Its PAT fell 32.2% to Rs 79.7 crore against Rs 117.6 crore in Q4FY25 and revenue jumped 32.8% to Rs 1,003.4 crore compared to Rs 755.6 crore in Q4FY25.

RPG Life Sciences: Its PAT dropped 74.5% to Rs 29.9 crore against Rs 117.4 crore in Q4FY25 while revenue grew 23.6% to Rs 176.9 crore compared to Rs 143.1 crore in Q4FY25. Exceptional gains nosedived from Rs 109.9 crore in Q4FY25 to Rs 1.1 crore in Q4FY26.

Force Motors: Its PAT fell 35.9% to Rs 278.5 crore compared to Rs 434.7 crore in Q4FY25. But revenue rose 8.2% to Rs 2,549.8 crore compared to Rs 2,356 crore in Q4FY25. Exceptional income was at zero compared to Rs 394.57 crore in the same quarter last year.

Larsen & Toubro: It has executed a Share Purchase Agreement with Hyderabad Metro Rail, a Government of Telangana enterprise, to dispose off its entire shareholding in its subsidiary, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) for a consideration of Rs 1,461.47 crore.

Brigade Enterprises: Brigade Group has announced a partnership with Bain Capital to develop 20 lakh sq ft premium project on a 11-acre plot in Whitefield, Bengaluru. It will be done through a 50:50 JV between the two firms and the total investment will be of Rs 2,200 crore.

Puravankara: Its subsidiary, Starworth Infrastructure & Construction, has received a Letter of Intent for the execution of civil, structural, waterproofing, finishing, and allied works for a residential project-Nature’s Nest-in Bengaluru. The value of the contract value is Rs 144.45 crore.

Indian Hume Pipe Company: It has received a Letter of Acceptance with an order value of Rs 458.69 crore from the Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department, Hyderabad, Telangana, to build a water supply improvement scheme in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation/

Emcure Pharmaceuticals: Norges Bank has acquired 18 lakh shares or 0.9% stake in Emcure Pharmaceuticals for Rs 289.47 crore from BC Investments IV, an affiliate of US-based investment firm Bain Capital. The deal was done was Norges Bank on behalf of the Government Pension Fund Global. The transaction price was Rs 1,608.2.
