A big update has come out in TV actor Rohit Chandel case. According to the police, the actor has admitted to meeting and stalking the minor co-actress.
There has been a new twist in the stalking and harassment case related to TV actor Rohit Chandel. In the case registered on the complaint of a 16-year-old co-actress, Mumbai Police has claimed that during interrogation, the actor has admitted to meeting the minor and stalking her. At present he has been sent to judicial custody and the investigation of the case is going on. A case has been registered against the actor under various sections of the POCSO Act and the Indian Justice Code (BNS). However, the final decision on these allegations will be taken only after the court hearing and completion of the investigation.
Rohit Chandel Case Update: What new claim did the police make?
Ghatkopar police station senior police inspector Vitthal Laxman Ardekar said that Rohit Chandel was produced in the court, after which he was sent to judicial custody. According to the police officer, the actor did not deny that he used to go to meet the minor girl. According to the police officer, “He used to stalk her. He is in judicial custody. How long will he stay, the court will decide. Rohit did not deny it. He admitted that he used to visit her. The girl is a minor. Both of them have worked together. The girl says that he was pressurizing her. He used to come to meet her from Dahisar to Ghatkopar. Despite the girl blocking him, he used to call her from different numbers.”

POCSO Case: What allegations did the minor actress make in the complaint against Rahit Chandel?
According to the complaint, the 16-year-old girl alleged that Rohit Chandel used to continuously call her on her mobile. Kept trying to contact different numbers even after being blocked. The complaint also said that on July 5, the actor allegedly approached her house, followed her, argued with her, abused her and even hit her with his hands.
Under which sections was the case registered against Rohit Chandel?
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against Rohit Chandel under section 78 (stalking), section 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and relevant sections of the POCSO Act. At present the police is investigating the entire matter and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
