However, the second weekend turned out to be quite impressive for this Rajkumar Hirani directorial as it saw a decent growth in numbers.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki raked in Rs 9 crores on day 10 (second Saturday) and Rs 11.5 crores on day 11 (second Sunday). However, the comedy drama witnessed a slight drop in collections on the first day of the year 2024 wherein it raked in Rs 9.25 crores on day 12 (second Monday) taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 196.97 crores.
Given the trend, Dunki is all set to cross Rs 200 crores mark today. Yes! Dunki is expected to mint Rs 7-9 crores today which will be the lowest collection for the movie in 2024. As Dunki will be inching towards Rs 210 crores, it will be interesting to see how this Shah Rukh Khan fare at the box office in the coming days.
Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 95 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn’t all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release.
