Kusal Mendis Captain: Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced its team for the West Indies tour. Right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Mendis has been made the captain of the ODI and T20 team. This player has already captained the ODI team. Mendis has captained Sri Lanka in 17 ODI matches but now this player has been made the captain of T20 also. Kusal Mendis becoming ODI and T20 captain means that both Charit Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka are no longer captains. Let us tell you that Dasun Shanaka is currently a part of Rajasthan Royals team, while Kusal Mendis was a part of Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League.

Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced the team for the T20, ODI and Test series to be held in West Indies. The big news is that leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has returned to the ODI and T20 team. Ishan Malinga, who took the most wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the current IPL, also got a place in the ODI-T20 team. Dushmantha Chameera has got a place in the ODI team.

West Indies-Sri Lanka series schedule
Sri Lanka will play three ODI matches against West Indies from June 3 to 8, followed by three T20 International matches on June 12, 14 and 15. The tour will end with a two-match Test series starting from June 25. The Sri Lankan team will leave for the Caribbean on 26 May.
