Vinay Shankar Tiwari, son of former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Harishankar Tiwari, has been tightened by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Their difficulties seem to be increasing continuously. The ED team has raided several locations simultaneously today. These entire raids have been conducted by crores of bank loan scam.
Vinay Shankar Tiwari is accused of alleged rigging taken by taking loans from several banks including Bank of India. CBI has already registered a case in this case. Now the ED has raided in this matter. It is being said that the loan amount was diverted and invested in another place.
In which case this raid took place?
The ED has raided the locations of Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Gurugram and Mumbai, including the offices of Gangotri Enterprises. ED has raided more than 10 locations simultaneously this morning. This is a case related to about 700 crore bank scam. This case of fraud is between 2012 and 2016. Earlier, ED also raided in February 2024.
In 2023, the zonal office of ED in the capital had seized a total of 27 properties of Vinay Tiwari in Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Lucknow, which was worth around Rs 72 crore. The CBI headquarters registered a case on the complaint of the banks.
Who is Vinay Shankar Tiwari?
MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari is the son of Bahubali Harishankar Tiwari of Purvanchal, who has been a BSP MLA from Chilupar assembly seat. In the year 2021, he left the BSP and joined the SP, from the seat from which Vinay was elected MLA, his father Harishankar also came from the same seat to 6 times.
