Sonam Wangchuk Health Bulletin: Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital has issued a health bulletin regarding activist Sonam Wangchuk. Also, the medical report given is shocking. Seeing this, his wife Geetanjali and Wangchuk’s family are shocked.

New Delhi: Activist Sonam Wangchuk’s doctor, Dr Nitin Dighe, on Saturday expressed “doubt” over the medical report of Safdarjung Hospital. The hospital report states that there is a deficiency of potassium in Wangchuk’s body, but Dr. Dighe says that he had taken Wangchuk’s blood sample at 3 pm on Friday, in which the potassium level was normal.

Doctor is not giving report to wife?

Dr Dighe told ANI that the hospital is not providing Wangchuk’s medical reports. He said that he himself will take Wangchuk’s blood sample, get its report done and present it before the media. He said, “My team and I have been examining him for the last 20 days. His lawyers and we have not been allowed to meet him till now. His wife is here, and he is being allowed to meet. When I asked him why he was kept here, we were told that he had potassium deficiency. I took his blood sample yesterday at 3 pm, and at that time potassium was normal. It was 4.8, whereas the normal value is 3.5. Now, they are saying that the value has fallen. They are not giving them the report, so I am collecting their blood and presenting it to you.

Why are the two reports different?

  • His wife has said that the march to Parliament on July 20 will go as per schedule and Sir (Wangchuk) will also be a part of it, but if he does not come, his wife will join it.”
