In this special journey, the government will take all the responsibility from the door of your house to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. What is Somnath’s Free Yatra Scheme and where is it being run?
Haryana government is organizing a special yatra under Somnath Swabhiman festival. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’, the elders of the state are taken to visit famous religious places of the country. In this series, now the devotees will be taken to Gujarat Baba Somnath Temple. A special train will be run for the yatra, in which complete arrangements for the accommodation, food and travel of the devotees will be made by the government.

What will you get in this journey of Somnath Yatra?
The biggest feature of this journey is that you do not have to spend even a single rupee from your pocket. Complete arrangements will be made for special train tickets for your travel. There will be complete arrangements for stay in hotel or Dharamshala. The government will bear the expenses of breakfast and food from the way till reaching there.
Who can do Somnath Darshan for free?
- This opportunity is only for those senior citizens, whose age is 60 years or more.
- The person availing the benefit must be a resident of Haryana.
- It is for those economically weak families whose annual income should not exceed Rs 1.80 lakh.

You do not need to worry much about this journey. You only need to have one main ID card. With the help of Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), your complete verification and online registration will be completed.
When will Somnath Yatra start?
- The seats in this journey are very limited and the rule of ‘whoever fills the form first will have a chance of getting the ticket’ is applicable.
- The portal for filling online forms will remain open only till June 6, 2026.
- This special train carrying all the selected devotees will leave for Somnath on June 8, 2026.
How to register online sitting at home?
- To be a part of this journey, you do not need to visit any government office. You can easily submit your form by visiting the official website saralharyana.gov.in.
- If you have come to this website for the first time, first activate your account.
- Open the portal and go to ‘Register’ option. Fill your name, current mobile number and email ID.
- Set a strong password to log in, select your state (Haryana), enter the code shown on the screen and submit.
- After this, log in to the portal with ID-password.
- Search for the name of ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’ and click on it.
- Fill all your correct information asked in the form.
- Scan and upload your Family ID (PPP) and press the final submit button.
