Organic Soil Mix: If you want your plants to grow fast and remain green for a long time, then first of all it is important to prepare the soil properly. In this article, know the easy way to prepare nutritious and organic soil with the help of dry leaves, onion peels and kitchen waste.
How to Prepare Soil Before Planting: Plants grow rapidly when their roots have access to nutrient-rich and well-drained soil. Many people buy expensive manures and fertilizers, whereas excellent organic soil can be prepared with the help of dry leaves, onion peels and kitchen waste present in the house. If you also want to keep your garden or potted plants healthy and green, then definitely adopt this easy method of preparing the soil before planting the plant.
First clean and pulverize the soil
Before planting the plant, remove stones, plastic, weeds and old roots from the soil. After this, turn the soil thoroughly and make it crumbly. Light and soft soil provides enough space for the roots to spread, which improves the growth of plants.
Increase soil fertility with dry leaves
Instead of throwing dry leaves fallen in the garden, break them into small pieces and mix them with the soil. With time these leaves rot and turn into natural manure. Due to this, organic matter increases in the soil, moisture remains for a long time and plants get essential nutrients.
Use onion peels properly
Dried onion peels are considered a good source of potassium, calcium and other micronutrients. Dry them and grind them or soak them in water for a few days and mix them in the soil. This improves the quality of the soil and helps the roots of the plants to become stronger.

Make organic compost from kitchen waste
Compost biodegradable kitchen waste like vegetable and fruit peels, tea leaves, coffee grounds and egg shells and mix them in the soil. Keep in mind that do not add oil, salt, meat or dairy products to it. The prepared compost makes the soil nutritious and helps in healthy growth of plants.
Mix sand and cow dung manure in the soil
If the soil is too heavy, add some river sand and well decomposed cow dung to it. This improves soil drainage and allows air to reach the roots easily. This mixture is considered suitable for most flower, vegetable and ornamental plants.

Let the soil rest for a few days, then plant the plant.
After preparing the soil, leave it for 5–7 days, so that all the organic elements mix well and the natural process can start. After planting the plant, the roots get a better environment, due to which the plant gets established quickly and remains healthy and green for a long time.
