According to the information, Satish Kumar was martyred on 20 March 2015 in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. He was a resident of Chhatar village of Uchana. Martyr Satish Kumar’s daughter Nisha got married on Saturday. The CRPF jawans from the bride’s side gave a warm welcome to the wedding procession. The CRPF officer, fulfilling his father’s duty, performed Kanyadaan and the entire village bid farewell to his daughter with blessings.
The soldiers tried their best to ensure that martyr Satish’s daughter does not miss her father at the wedding. DIG Komal Singh, Deputy Commandant Vedpal, Assistant Commandant Krishna Kumar and other soldiers had arrived from Group Center Sonipat.

The process of arrival of CRPF officers and soldiers started from the morning itself. He along with the villagers made complete preparations for the wedding. CRPF DIG Komal Singh said while talking to a news agency, ‘Nisha is the daughter of our martyr Satish. We are not related to her by blood but she is the daughter of our family. He is part of the CRPF family. We have come here to increase his respect. We have come to make him feel proud that his father has made the supreme sacrifice.
