BSP’s shameful defeat in UP by-elections
BSP suffered a shameful defeat in the UP by-elections. BSP had fielded its candidates on all the 9 seats but it did not win anywhere. Moreover, he got around 1000 votes on many seats. If we add the votes of all the nine seats, then BSP got a total of 1 lakh 32 thousand 929 votes. Meaning, BSP was completely defeated in the UP by-elections. BSP also had a poor performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. She could not even open her account. It is clear that BSP has almost been completely marginalized in UP. Only one MLA is left. There is zero in Lok Sabha and Legislative Council. It has only 1 seat left in Rajya Sabha.
How was SP’s performance in UP by-elections?
SP has won two seats in the UP by-elections. The seats where SP has won include Karhal and Sisamau seats. BJP achieved a spectacular victory in the UP by-elections. Out of 9 assembly seats in UP, BJP won 6 seats while one seat Meerapur went to its ally RLD. The seats where BJP won include Ghaziabad, Phulpur, Khair, Kundarki, Katehri and Majhwan.
