Two women of Atarra police station area have complained to the Superintendent of Police, accusing a youth of attempted rape, continuous harassment and threatening to kill. The victims have filed an FIR against the accused and demanded strict legal action. At present the police is investigating the matter and the veracity of the allegations is being investigated.

Allegation of attempt to rape a woman resting in the temple

According to the complaint, Vimala, a resident of Shivraj Singh’s hamlet of Atarra rural police station area, told that on July 28, 2026, at around 2:30 pm, she was resting in the temple located near her house. It is alleged that during this time her brother-in-law Rameshwar Singh tried to forcibly rape her. The woman says that when she protested, the accused lured her with money, but when she raised an alarm, he ran away from the spot.

The victim also alleged that the accused had already done indecent acts with her sister-in-law Saguni. However, at that time the matter was suppressed in the name of agreement and no effective action was taken.

Threat given on withdrawal of complaint

The victims allege that when they were going to complain to the police, the accused’s wife Kusum and his sons Lucky, Vicky and Krishna stopped them on the way. The complaint states that the accused threatened to kill if the complaint was not withdrawn.

The women have demanded strict action from the Superintendent of Police by registering a case against the accused and his family under sections of attempt to rape, intimidation and other related sections. He has also expressed apprehension that if any untoward incident happens to him, the responsibility for it will be on the accused party.
