The announcement came as the selectors announced the squads for the upcoming tours of Ireland, England and the Asian Games 2026. Team India will start its campaign with two T20I matches in Ireland. After this the team will go to England, where a multi-format white-ball series of five T20Is and three ODI matches will be played. This tour will take place between June 26 and July 19, where Shreyas Iyer will be seen captaining for the first time in this format.
