Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the Central Government over the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital. On Sunday, Kejriwal also reached the car showroom located in Tilak Nagar, Delhi, where an incident of firing over extortion had come to light in the month of June. After this the former CM also met the victim’s family. After this we also reached Singla Sweets where, a few months ago, two bike riders had opened fire.
Kejriwal said that we are standing in front of Singla Sweets, it is a very busy market. Just a few months ago, two bike riders had come and started firing bullets at Singla Sweets. A few days before the shoot out, a ransom of Rs 2 crore was demanded. After the shoot out, a call came again and threatened that anything could happen to you. Such shootouts have become common in Delhi. I went to Nagloi, there was firing there also.
Kejriwal said- 160 ransom calls have been received
The former CM of Delhi said that this year 160 ransom calls have been received. These are those which have come in the police records. Many people do not tell because of fear and get it served. We had never seen Delhi like this. We are peace loving people. Want to live in peace. Some people are taking business to other states.
Kejriwal said that these gangsters are using 17-17 year old children. On the other hand, unemployment is spreading and unemployed children are being employed in such work. I want to tell Union Home Minister Amit Shah that we do not want politics. Do whatever work you want.
There was also an attack on the arrest of Naresh Baliyan.
Referring to the arrest of the AAP leader, Kejriwal said that Naresh Balyan received threat calls 35-40 times. He complained to the police. The victim is an MLA and he has been arrested. What kind of message is this being given? If you have been threatened and you complain, you will be arrested. We have to provide protection to the suffering people.
